WIN launches International Meetings and Events offering

WIN has launched a meetings and events offering, WIN M&E, to provide support to its global travel network of 6,000 travel agent members in over 70 countries worldwide looking to grow their Meetings and Events business.

The news follows Advantage Travel Partnership launching its meetings and events UK offering in June last year, headed up by Andrew Winterburn and Ian Quartermaine who each have over 25 years’ experience in the meetings and events industry.

The new WIN M&E division was born from a desire for a centralised meetings and events solution and will provide resources, expert knowledge, assistance and a white-labelled full-service event management offering for all WIN members.

The newly expanded WIN Meetings and Events team will act as a seamless extension of WIN members’ businesses and provide additional support across the diverse types of agents within the membership, from corporate travel management companies through to leisure agents.

Neil Armorgie, CEO of WIN, commented, “There is major growth in the SME sector which is driving the need for small to mid-size meetings. The global M&E market is estimated to be worth approximately US$800 billion globally so this new solution will provide our members with the fantastic opportunity to grow their revenues within this sector, service the needs of their existing clients and pitch for new business.”

Ian Quartermaine added, “Over the course of our careers, Andrew and I have arranged everything from small meetings to corporate overseas events for hundreds of people. We’ll be able to share this experience with WIN members to help them grow their own businesses across the globe.”

Members will benefit from a variety of services and can choose from a mix of additional products to meet the business needs of their clients and the level of their own in-house expertise. Assistance will range from access to expert M&E knowledge and venue finding to marketing support and event technology, as well as training and development.

As part of the meetings and events proposition, members will have access to pre-negotiated hotel rates, the ability to request and book group rates with selected airlines, supplier agreements with DMCs as well as production and AV providers, delegate registration technology suppliers and venue finding solutions. Additional operational support such as budget and financial management, standard operating procedures and on-site event management staff can also be arranged by WIN M&E.
