Your favourite destination and why

My favourite destination is Hong Kong, whilst its expansion and development over recent years has been phenomenal, parts of it still retain the old Asia feel, plus it’s a city that never sleeps.

An interesting/fun fact

I once travelled to five US cities in 24 hours in pursuit of my luggage, Washington, New York, Atlanta, Dallas and Miami, in that order! – the joys of flying with Pan Am.

Kate Wye

Partnership Development Executive

Kate manages a key area of our business in the UK where she is our main contact for UK Partners, providing training as well as promoting engagement and support for the network.

Your favourite destination and why

The Philippines; having been as a young girl with my family, this destination remains close to my heart and holds special memories – not to mention beautiful weather, friendly people and amazing beaches.

An interesting/fun fact

I pursued a career in the travel industry having found a love of commercial aeroplanes as a small child. I still absolutely love flying and aircraft and loved visiting the Boeing factory in Seattle. I was fortunate/unfortunate (depending on your view), to fulfil a lifetime ambition – working as cabin crew for Ryanair.

Boston, Massachusetts, USA
A really walkable and friendly city with the peaceful river, great Italian pastries in North End, elegant Beacon Hill behind the State House that glints in the sunshine, the old Charlestown district and Harbour Islands.

I have a small shoe addiction, my collection is currently going strong at 279 pairs. My aim is to be at 300 before the end of the year!

Your favourite destination and why

My favourite destination to travel to is Dubai as I love skyscrapers and their architecture. Too bad that I am not very good with the heat!

An interesting/fun fact

I was trained in national health insurance law in Germany, however I was determined to work in a more international environment. I took a decision that shocked my parents but it was one of the best ones I have ever taken. I quit my job and studied tourism economics in London during my study abroad semester and never looked back.

Your favourite destination and why

So many to choose from! My favourite destinations are San Francisco and Sydney. Beautiful cities with so much to see and do. Orlando with the kids doing the magic of Disney is next on my to do list.

An interesting/fun fact

I like to keep myself busy. So during the UK Covid lockdown, I became a school teacher to my 2 kids, a carpenter (my garden now contains a pergola and summer house), a delivery driver delivering Covid test kits, and taught myself to play the piano (badly)
